Did you ever give a gift to someone that you knew will make them cry? Well I did just that. I knit, my mother knitted, I got a few skeins of yarn from Mother's stash before it was all given away before she died.
My oldest sister is very sentimental and was extremely close to my mother . . . so I knitted some of that yarn up into a nice afgan to give to my sister for Christmas. I enclosed a little note to my sister informing her where the yarn came from . . . I must admit I shed a tear or two when I was packaging up the "gift".
I had just returned from the neighbors house from eating Christmas dinner . . . and the answering machine was blinking. It was the call, I knew it was the call . . . I hit the play button, yep the gift made her cry . . . now I have to plan for next year's gift.
